CARAT's Live & Online Synchronous Seminars & Trainings
California Resources and Training (CARAT) is a privately funded nonprofit organization that has been providing capacity building services and training to nonprofit business development organizations (BDOs) for fifteen years. CARAT offers online synchronous trainings for executive managers and business counselors of BDOs.
CARAT's online trainings are designed specifically for BDOs and feature interactivity every five to seven minutes between and among the trainer and the participants. Interactive features include:
- Live, on-screen writing on whiteboards/presentation
- Instant polling
- Open and Private Chat
- No muting of participants
- Online breakout sessions
CARAT manages the California Small Business Broadband Initiative. The Initiative is aimed at building the technological capacity of small business owners. CARAT, along with its collaborative partners, offers several online synchronous training courses for small business owners and BDO staff members.
